I am delighted to continue the care of all patients who have been looked after by Mr Edmund Schulenburg, who has now retired.
I realise that changing doctors can be a time of uncertainty and I will do my best to make the transition as smooth as possible for you. Here is a little bit about me. I was trained by Mr Schulenburg at The Western Eye Hospital, and continued my retinal fellowship training at Moorfields Eye Hospital. I was appointed Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at The Western Eye Hospital following Mr Schulenburg’s retirement from the NHS five years’ ago, having previously worked as his Fellow there some years’ earlier. I was previously Lead Clinician for the Macular Degeneration Service at West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, and am also Clinical Lead for a Diabetic Eye Screening Programme.
